About Alison

Alison is a Health Psychologist and Accredited EMDR Therapist who has over 25 years experience including 10 years working in private practice as an EMDR therapist. Her expertise is in helping people to heal and recover from frightening or overwhelming events or chronic ongoing disturbing experiences.

These may have happened in childhood or in adulthood as attachment wounds, bullying,  social exclusion or as traumatic events such as accidents, loss of a loved one or illness. Alison works with adults experiencing anxiety and depression through helping them explore the relationship to unresolved, disturbing or traumatic experiences.

Alison’s warm, understanding approach applies therapeutic techniques to support insight into unwanted patterns of thoughts and behaviour and releasing distressing emotions held in the body.   The therapeutic approach enables opportunities for self determining positive change and growth; enhancing health, happiness and wellbeing.
